Why do we collect your data?

To facilitate your Dental Treatment at this practice and fulfil our Legal Duty of Care to you.

 

How do we collect your data?

You provide us with, and update, the data we require.

 

For how long will your data be retained?

For a minimum of 10 years, but as long as legally required by our Duty of Care.

 

How secure is your data with us?

We are careful to store your Data securely at all times. Our system is paper-based.

 

Is your Data ever shared with third parties and on what basis might it be?

Your Data may be selectively shared with third parties for Administrative purposes (eg: PRSI, paper and online secure system), Legal purposes (eg: Dental Reports); Health Care purposes (eg: Prescriptions, Referrals)

 

What are your rights under the General Data Protection Regulations?

Access to your data

The right to have inaccuracies corrected

The right to have information erased

The right to object to direct marketing

The right to restrict the processing of your information

The right to data portability

The right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commissioner

You are entitled to receive a copy of your Data upon written request, and at no charge.  Copies of data are paper based.  Copies of data will be provided to you as soon as possible after the Access Request, and within one month at the most.
